Q. What is the difference in Fulvic Mineral Complex and  Super Multi?
A.    One is a mineral product and the other is a vitamin product.  Fulvic Mineral Complex is 100% fulvic in solution, with nothing else added.   Although Super Multi does contain fulvic minerals, it was designed to be a high potency multi-vitamin product.  It contains a lengthy list of essential co-factors which are included in the formula to assure the highest absorption of the  vitamins.


Q. Since Super Multi contains minerals, why should I also take Fulvic Mineral Complex?  Can't I just take Super Multi and get everything I need?
A.    Because of the extreme mineral deficiency we face everyday in the foods we eat, the amount of minerals in Super Multi is not an adequate daily dose of minerals.   Super Multi was designed to be a vitamin product.  To support the absorption and utilization of the vitamins in the formula, Super Multi also contains an  impressive number of important co-factor ingredients, with the most important one being fulvic minerals.  Since vitamins cannot be absorbed and used  properly by the body unless minerals are present, about 1/3 of the bottle is liquid fulvic minerals.  This assures you're getting maximum absorption of the vitamins in Super Multi.  For optimum health you must provide the minerals that were meant to be in our foods, but no longer exist  because of our current farming practices.  To meet the daily requirement for both vitamins and minerals, most of our customers take Super Multi and Fulvic Mineral Complex  together.


Q. If I take both liquid products, Fulvic Mineral Complex and Super Multi, should I be concerned about giving my body too many minerals?
A.    No, because the minerals in Fulvic Mineral Complex are organic. Once they enter the body they do not stay in their original form. Proper metabolic responses occur that either allow the minerals to be utilized where they're needed, or if there is overabundance of minerals, they are simply flushed from the body.   Organic minerals do not build up in the tissues like metallic or clay based mineral products which can remain in the tissue as toxic residue.  Plus, organic minerals also have the capacity to "flush out" toxins from the tissues and are highly effective for removing harmful metallic minerals from the body.


Q. Why do the nutrients in Super Multi exceed the RDA guidelines?
A.    The RDA (Recommended Daily Allowance) was originally established to provide a standardized base line of nutrients to prevent diseases like scurvy and other deficiency diseases.  RDA guidelines are upgraded as new research surfaces.  However, the RDA’s set the amount needed to meet the requirements of the average healthy person.  Anything less than perfect health and perfect   living conditions and the  RDA is too low.  RDA does not take into account modern day life that is filled with stress, pollutants, preservatives, food dyes, chlorinated water, or contaminated air that drain nutrients out of our bodies.  They do not make adjustments for our over-consumption of destructive sugar, white flour, hydrogenated oils, and artificial foods.  RDA’s do not take into consideration damaging lifestyle choices, such as medications, high caffeine consumption, alcohol, and smoking.   Nor do they compensate for the additional nutritional needs of health conditions like high blood pressure, diabetes, heart conditions, hyperactivity, depression, headaches, stress, or anxiety.  These deficiencies were not raging out of control when the RDA was established and the RDA system was never updated to include them.  When the RDA was originally established, farmlands had not been depleted of nutrients, and NPK had not been overused; NPK destroys essential fulvic microorganisms at the base of plants.

The levels of all nutrients in Vital-Earth formulas have been established based on scientific studies and data available through the mainstream medical community, such as JAMA, New England   Journal of Medicine, leading research institutes and respected medical schools.  All nutrients, the forms of nutrients, and strengths, were selected for the synergistic  affect they have on each other and the results these co-factor relationships produce for the consumer.

Q. What is fulvic and why does Vital Earth put it in their products?
A.  Fulvic, a natural ionic molecule, is rapidly being recognized as an important  key  in  many scientific breakthroughs of the 21st century.    Fulvic is one of the most crucial factors in the  reversal and prevention of disease, as well as the maintenance of good health.  Nature made it abundantly obtainable, but like many things, man has interfered with this vital process and it is no longer available in adequate quantities in the foods we eat.  You must provide your body with this  essential component through supplementation  

Fulvic’s function is to balance and energize all cell life and biological properties it comes in contact with.  If you can restore individual cells to their normal chemical balance and electrical potential, then you have given those cells life.  What if the newly energized cells belong to a liver, a heart, or a the thyroid?  Those organs could have the potential to function at peak performance.  Scientists believe disease is rampant today because people are so deficient in fulvic and the minerals,  trace elements, and nutrients it contains.   By adding fulvic to our liquids, nutrients are dissolved and complexed by the fulvic electrolyte, making them bio-chemically reactive, mobile, and readily  absorbable.

Q. Why is the "form" of the mineral so important?
A.  The minerals in Vital Earth’s fulvic are in an organic, plant derived "form". This means once they enter the body the proper metabolic responses occur that allow them to be utilized where they’re needed. Organic minerals cannot not be retained in the tissues as toxins like metallic or clay based minerals can.


Q. Why isn't Fulvic Mineral Complex sweetened and flavored like some other mineral products on the market?
A.  Because of our processing methods, Fulvic Mineral Complex is naturally very mild tasting and requires so sweetening or flavoring.  Finding out how a product is processed is a crucial  factor when choosing a mineral product.  Products that have been extracted using harmful chemical acids to achieve a more "concentrated" mineral potency usually require sweeteners and flavorings to mask these toxins. Also, these chemicals kill off fulvic which is the most beneficial part of a mineral product.  Our product is all natural and we do not add anything or manipulate the original humic substance in any way. All the amino acids are naturally occurring. There are no sweeteners, flavorings, or preservatives in the formula. We do not use any chemicals, heat or pressure extrusion in our extraction process. Our product is extracted using only purified, cool, non-chlorinated water, which accounts for its naturally mild taste.  Fulvic Mineral Complex is 100% fulvic in solution and has an alkaline pH of between 7.0 to 8.9.  The pH level is another way of telling if a product has been processed with chemicals, since chemical acids lower the pH, making them very acidic.

Q. Why do some manufacturers use chemical acids in their processing, and why does this create an acidic product?
A.  In the past, manufacturers used chemical acids in the extraction process, which left a vile aftertaste, killed off most of the fulvic, and made their product highly acid...which is originally where the name “fulvic acid" came from.   Manufacturers used this type of processing to extract a higher concentration of "colloidal" minerals, not realizing that retaining the fulvic was far more  important.   Colloidal molecules are too large for the body to assimilate without the presence of fulvic to dissolve them, so any benefit received from colloidal mineral products comes from the small amount of fulvic that may have survived the processing. 

This nasty tasting product required sweeteners and flavoring to mask the unpalatable taste, but nothing could be done to restore the alkaline pH.  Some chemically processed products test as low as 4.0 pH or worse.   There are modern day manufacturers that still use chemical acid processing techniques, so they can tout the high colloidal mineral content of their product.—which, unbeknownst to some consumers, has minimal value. 

Organic fulvic has no bad taste, it is naturally ionic, or dissolved, (not colloidal) and if it is processed with care it has an alkaline pH.   Remember, not all mineral products are alike, and to experience maximum benefits,  look for high fulvic content, not colloidal minerals.


Q. How can you spot processing techniques that create an acidic, colloidal product, that is low in fulvic?
A.   First of all, read the label.  If it is an alkaline product the manufacturer will want this important selling point to be known to customers and will list it on the label in a prominent place.   If the label says colloidal, then you know the fulvic content is low, and the minerals are not dissolved and  therefore too large to easily pass through cell walls.   And, if it is flavored and sweetened, there is a reason for it.   A product that is high in fulvic should have just a very slight hint of tanginess,  which doesn’t require flavoring or sweeteners to be palatable.  The color should be a rich, clear golden color similar to cider, and it should have at least a 7.0 alkaline pH.  (Vital Earth's fulvic has an alkaline pH of between 7.0 to 8.9).


Q. Are there any side effects with Fulvic?
A.    When taken as directed, there are no known negative side effects or  toxic build up.  On the contrary, fulvic helps neutralize or remove toxic elements from the body.  Occasionally, if a customer has an excessive amount of toxic build up, they may experience flu like symptoms for a few days while the toxins are being removed from the body.  If this happens, we suggest you cut your dosage of minerals down to a level that eliminates the symptoms, then build back up to the suggested dosage slowly. 


Q. If I have a health issue would it be helpful to take more than the normal dosage of one ounce per day of Fulvic Mineral Complex?
A.    Yes, it can be very beneficial to take a double or even a triple dose, depending on body size and severity of the health issue.  Because there is no danger of any toxic build up, many people with health challenges take 2 to 3 ounces per day.   The nature of fulvic is such that it will enhance and help to restore natural body functions whenever possible.  So instead of covering up symptoms, fulvic is working to energize cells and boost immune response.  We recommend that you listen to your body and notice what dosage makes you feel the best; which could essentially mean adjusting your dosage daily based on stress, fatigue, excessive physical activity, or environmental factors you encounter. 


Q. Since Vital Earth's fulvic has an alkaline pH of 7.0 to 8.9, will this help reduce body acidity?
A.   Another benefit of our proprietary processing is that our product retains a 7.0 to 8.9 alkaline pH. Fulvic can be a powerful aid in controlling body acidity because it neutralizes acids in body fluids, and increases the amount of oxygen in the blood. Acidity is a well known factor in many diseases, so anything that can help increase the body’s alkalinity is a tremendous benefit.

In the highly competitive world of liquid mineral products, it’s no small feat to produce a product that is 100% fulvic in solution, with an alkaline pH of 7.0 to 8.9. Q. Where does fulvic come from in nature?
A.   Fulvic is created by microbial activity at the roots of plants. Its function is to dissolve, and convert the metallic and clay based mineral molecules that are in soils, into a form that is usable by plants, animals and people. Once the minerals are dissolved, plants uptake the powerful fulvic substance, that is loaded with dissolved minerals and trace elements. In a perfect world we would consume these nutrient rich plants and there would be no need to supplement our diets with fulvic. But man’s interference has made getting mineral rich plants almost impossible.

When the natural Fulvic microorganisms found in soil are destroyed, metallic minerals are not converted to the organic form required by plants. The minerals remain in their original metallic and clay form in the soil, unusable by plants, causing the plants to be mineral deficient, weakened, and disease prone.

Our fruits and vegetables may be large, uniform and beautiful, but testing shows the nutrient content is lower than in years past. This is why we need to supplement our diets with products that contain fulvic - because our food sources are so mineral deficient.


Q. If fulvic is no longer available, then where does Vital Earth get its fulvic from?
A.   Vital Earth’s Fulvic comes from an ancient deposit of lush plant matter that was buried millions of years ago before chemicals, pesticides, and other harmful substances ever existed.   Our product is mined from an isolated area high in the mountains of New Mexico. It comes from a vein of plant derived, humic substance that is about 15 to 20 feet below the surface.

This ancient composted material was once living matter, and contains all the major and trace elements present when these organically rich deposits were laid down. Vital Earth’s proprietary, natural processing creates a product with the highest Fulvic content available.


Q. Can’t I get all the nutrients I need if I eat healthy?
A.   Probably not.  Even people who believe they are eating a healthy diet can be  surprised at the numerous detrimental manufacturing processes used on “natural” foods.   For example, grated cheese requires anti-clumping additives to keep it from sticking together in the package.  Many whole grain cereals are processed with high heat “extrusion”, which destroys much of the nutrients and renders the amino acids very toxic.   Even old fashioned rolled oats are processed at high heat to keep them from clumping together. Many restaurant “homemade” soups start with a chemical, powdered soup base, which is likely to be high in MSG.  Practically any pre-packaged food you buy, no matter how “natural” appearing, has been subjected to some sort of processing designed to improve shelf life, flavor, or general marketability of the product—all of which degrade its nutrient value.

Even our soils are in poor condition.  Because of years of overuse, the soils used to grow our fruits and  vegetables, and feed our livestock have been depleted of their natural resources.  Plants do manufacture vitamins, but they cannot manufacture minerals; they must uptake them from the soil they’re grown in.  Pesticides and harmful chemicals kill the microbes in soil that are necessary for plants to convert inorganics (metallic minerals)  to organic substances. Without this conversion, plants are unable to uptake minerals into their root system and therefore they become mineral deficient...mineral deficient foods create mineral deficient people.  Most farmers only replace 3 out of the 60 to 84 minerals our bodies need to maintain optimal health.  And even worse, they are generally replacing these 3 minerals with unnatural man-made chemical versions...which kills off the natural fulvic in soil.  According to Dr. Linus Pauling,  winner of two Nobel Prizes, “You can trace every sickness, every disease, and every ailment to a mineral deficiency.” This is why it’s so important to take high quality supplements that can help offset the serious nutritional deficiencies created by over processed and  nutrient deficient foods.


Q. I get plenty of vitamins, why do I need minerals also?
A.   The vitamins you get from foods can ONLY be utilized by the body if minerals are present, in the correct ratios, as nature intended.  Without minerals, vitamins are useless. It’s like pouring flour into a pan and expecting it to turn into a cake...it simply will not happen unless you provide the other ingredients that cause the necessary metabolic responses.  So not only are we mineral deficient, but we are vitamin deficient also because our bodies can’t utilize vitamins sufficiently without plant derived minerals.  Your body has little chance of maintaining good health if it is consistently deprived of the tools it needs to function properly. 

Although it seems that many diseases appear suddenly, the sad truth is that they are usually the result of years of deficiency and could have easily been prevented through proper supplementation.  Disease starts on a cellular level long before any symptoms appear.


Q. Can I give the liquid formulas to children?
A.   Yes, they’re wonderful for children, and most kids love the taste.  They can be given straight from the bottle, or added to their favorite juice.  Many parents report amazing successes with overly energized children and childhood related diseases such as blood sugar imbalances.  Many children become calm, focused, pleasant and eager to learn. 

We recommend 1 teaspoon per 20 pounds of body weight; not to exceed 1 ounce per day.     Statistics  tell  the  harsh  reality of the current health of our children.  31% of U.S. children today have chronic health problems, and 18% of children require special health care.  6.7% of children have a significant disability due to chronic physical or mental conditions.   Sadly, disease is becoming more prevalent at younger and younger ages.


Q. How soon can I expect to see results from the products?
A.   People usually see noticeable differences in energy, sleep, mental concentration, and general well-being in just a matter of days or weeks.  More serious illness may take longer for significant results to be realized.  Please remember that serious disease is usually the result of years and years of nutritional deficiency, so you must be realistic in your expectations.  Correcting health problems that were 20 or 30 years in the making could take some effort.  But what is the alternative?  Many people find that prescriptions, with all their numerous side effects, are not the quick fix “cure” they thought they would be, and feel that synthetic treatments do nothing to correct the underlying problem.  Addressing nutritional deficiency is an ongoing process of  feeding your body consistently and conscientiously.  We think it’s worth the small effort it takes to give your body nutrition that goes to work on a cellular level where disease starts.


Q. How should I take the products to get the most benefit from them?
A.   We recommend that you take all our products with food.  This way you will be taking advantage of the digestive processes that are already occurring.  Plus, fulvic enhances the  absorption and utilization of all nutrients it comes in contact with, so you will be making better use of the nutrients in your food.    We also recommend that you split your dosage up, if possible,  and take 1/2 a dose in the morning and the other 1/2 in the early evening, with dinner.  This is the same concept as eating 3 meals a day instead of 1 big one.    Tip: for best absorption, pour your normal dose, of whichever liquid formula(s) you’re taking, into a water bottle and sip it throughout the day.


Q. How do I know which products I should take?
A.   Although each Vital Earth product serves very specific purposes, it is important to understand that any quality nutritional program will always start with a powerful baseline program that supplies multiple essential nutrients and their necessary co-factors.  Once your baseline nutritional needs are being met, then you can add-on additional, specific products with confidence, knowing you are supplying all the ingredients to make that product work the most effectively.   So, as a starting point for powerful baseline nutrition, we recommend Fulvic Mineral Complex and Super Multi.  Together, these two liquid formulas offer therapeutic potencies of vitamins, with an essential assortment of co-factors necessary for maximum absorption and utilization, and the ever important “100% fulvic in solution”.

Q. Why is it so important to combine nutrients together...and so ineffective to take individual supplements?
A.   Vitamins and minerals all have a co-dependent relationship with each other, meaning, all nutrients are dependent on the presence of other nutrients to create the essential reactions within the body that make them useable.  Isolated nutrients just pass right through the body unused without the presence of their required co-factors.  That’s why supplying one or two specific single nutrients, such as Calcium for example, to correct a deficiency, is not enough.  Each nutrient must have all the required co-factor nutrients to react off of in order to work.  Plus, an excess of one nutrient can create imbalances in others, so providing the proper ratios are also important.

For an untrained lay person to figure out all the individual vitamins and minerals needed to enable proper co-factor metabolic reactions, a huge amount of in-depth scientific research would be needed.  For our customers who are not scientists, Vital Earth takes the work out of your supplement program, as well as making it economical and easy. Our great tasting liquids supply all the proper synergistic components, in the best forms, and the proper ratios and potencies—all with  maximum absorption because they’re in liquid form.  With Vital Earth’s advanced formulation techniques, our products react differently in the body than other supplements, and get better results.

If you were to purchase all the individual components contained in our liquid   formulas it would not only cost hundreds of dollars, but you would have to take handfuls of pills and capsules—all containing fillers and excipients—none of which are in any Vital Earth formulas. 


Q. Can I take Vital-Earth supplements while I am on medications?
A.   We hope there will come a time when everyone is so healthy that prescription drugs are no longer a part of our lives. But, if you are taking prescription drugs, we would advise you to check with your doctor to see how you can best integrate Vital Earth products into your current care.  Unfortunately, we find that many doctors practicing traditional medicine are not yet familiar with the important benefits of fulvic and its natural healing capabilities.

Fulvic is a powerful detoxifier that will identify many prescriptions as a foreign or toxic substance and will try to remove it from the body.  It would be counterproductive to take supplements that are designed to heal and repair the body at the same time of day you are taking prescriptions that are designed to alleviate symptoms.  If you have selected to take prescriptions to alleviate the symptoms of a disease, we can provide information for your doctor’s approval.  Most doctors that approve supplements recommend allowing a minimum of 2 hours in between taking the prescription and the supplement.

In the realm of alternative health, symptoms are considered a sign of some sort of larger problem. Addressing the root cause of symptoms is the basis for alternative care, whereas mainstream medicine seeks the immediate gratification of relieving the symptom, while doing little to determine what the underlying cause of the symptom is.



Q. Do pharmaceutical researchers who create new drugs know anything about nutritional deficiencies?

A.   You can’t attempt to fix something without a thorough knowledge of how it works...so,  yes, drug manufacturers know exactly what nutritional deficiencies cause various diseases.  Their job is not to supply the public with this information, but to create a saleable drug that can alleviate symptoms.  But alleviating a symptom doesn’t mean the “cause” has been addressed.  Non-organic “drugs” can mask symptoms, but rarely repair the underlying cause of the problem.  In the meantime the nutritional deficiency rages on, causing more and more damage until a whole new set of symptoms show themselves.   Then another drug is prescribed...and the cycle continues.



Q. Isn't it highly toxic to consume fulvic with clorinated water?
A.   Chlorine becomes dangerous when mixed with any organic substances; this includes vegetables, fruits, etc.  Yes, our product, Fulvic Mineral Complex, is an all natural organic substance which is plant derived.  The good thing about our fulvic product is that it is a powerful detoxifier and has the ability to remove dangerous toxins from the body, including chlorine and more.   Fulvic forms complexes with toxins, heavy metals, viruses and other immune system threats, inhibiting absorption and promoting elimination from the body.  So if you are actively reducing your exposure to chlorine as much as possible, our product provides an excellent way to flush out toxins. 

Eliminating chlorine totally is difficult because it's everywhere.  When you eat out, vegetables have been rinsed in it, iced tea was made with it, silverware was washed in it.  All you can do is try to minimize your exposure the best you can, and do your best to choose products, and cleaning supplies, etc. that don't contain it.  Many people use filters on their faucets and shower heads to eliminate exposure to chlorine.  Every little bit will help.  Fortunately, chlorine does dissipate over time, but avoiding direct exposure as much as possible is still best. 


Q. How long will I have to keep taking the products?
A.   That all depends on how long you plan to continue eating nutrient deficient foods containing chemicals, preservatives and dyes, hydrogenated oils, refined sugar, drink chlorinated  water, are exposed to pollutants and dangerous chemicals, consume caffeine,  alcohol, drink  carbonated beverages, or smoke.  The sad reality is that additives, chemicals, preservatives, and harmful food processing techniques  are a part of all our lives now, so about all you can do is try to eliminate or reduce as many of them as you can, and counteract their damaging effects by taking adequate potencies and natural forms of effective, and absorbable daily supplements. 

The simplest way to do that is by adding Vital Earth products to your daily routine.  Even modest dietary revisions, plus increases in vitamin and mineral intake have been shown to have significant benefits.  Prevention is so much easier than trying to reverse a life changing illness once it has taken hold.   Arthritis, High Blood Pressure, Diabetes, Heart Disease, Osteoporosis and more all have their origins in nutritional deficiencies.  If disease starts one cell at a time, then so can healing.


Q. What is the shelf life of the products and do they have to be refrigerated?
A.   As per FDA requirements, most of our products are stamped with a shelf life of 18 months.   The “Shelf Life” for supplements refers to the period of time the product will retain the full potencies listed on the Supplement Facts panel.  Our products will not “spoil” after the  expiration date, like a food product might, but instead they will very slowly start losing potency after this date.  

Regarding refrigeration:  It is only necessary to refrigerate the liquids once they have been opened.  Like any natural food, they will retain more of the nutrient content if they are refrigerated once they are exposed to air.  After many months, if a bottle has been “forgotten” at the back of the refrigerator for example, there is no danger of the product “spoiling”, but instead some of the more delicate natural substances may start losing nutritional potency … but remember the products started out at higher potencies than most other products on the market.


Q. Why do some supplements work and others don’t?
A.   These are just some of the guidelines you can follow to determine whether your supplements will be effective, or whether you’re just wasting your money...or worse, compromising your health.  Use the following points to compare your supplements with Vital Earth products.

• Are your supplements in a “form” that the body can utilize?

• Are you getting high enough potencies to be effective?

Q. What is a colloidal?
A.   Colloidals are solid particles of small size, that when mixed with a liquid will not settle out.  They stay in suspension.  Undissolved colloids or particles will always reflect light to a degree, depending on the number and size of the particles present.  If the particles dissolve they are no longer colloidal but are dissolved solids. True colloidals are too large to pass through cell walls and are therefore offer very little health benefit.  Ionic minerals can pass through cell walls with ease.  Vital Earth's Fulvic Mineral Complex is what is known as "complexed and dissolved", or "ionic".  This means it is much smaller than a colloidal solution and can go through cell walls to be utilized by the body.

A.   No, fulvic does not contain colloidal minerals (suspended particles), but contains complexed and dissolved minerals and trace elements in the same form our bodies intended them to be used. 


Q.  How can the ordinary person determine if a solution contains true colloidal minerals (unusable by humans) or is a fulvic dissolved mineral?
A.   Using a laser pointer a person can direct its beam through the solution.  All colloids in suspension reflect light.  If colloids are present the beam will be distinct and very visible, depending upon the strength of the solution.  If there are no colloids present there will be no visible beam.



Q. When fulvic is used to complex or dissolve other metals or minerals, will it then respond to the laser light?
A.   When fulvic is used to complex other metals or minerals, they too become complexed and dissolved … becoming part of the life-giving molecule of which fulvic is composed.  Therefore metals and minerals complexed with fulvic will not respond to the laser light:  hence fulvic solution containing hundreds, or thousands of parts per million (ppm) of dissolved metal or minerals will not respond to a laser light.



Q. Do plants produce and use colloidal minerals?
A.   No.  Plants do not produce nor use colloidal minerals.


Q. How then do plants get needed minerals?
A.   Plants are supplied with dissolved mineral complexes from soil microorganisms that can and do use colloidal minerals.  Through photosynthesis, plants manufacture sugars and exude some of the mucopolysaccharides at the root level..  Microorganisms relish polysaccharides and rapidly increase in numbers.  In return, the microorganisms supply soluble, organo-complexed minerals that plants, animals and humans need for healthy and vital growth.


 Q. Has the bio-chemical that is produced by the microorganisms been identified? 
A.   Yes.  It is called fulvic.  It is produced in extremely small amounts in organically rich soils teaming with vital microorganisms.  It is responsible for complexing and mobilizing minerals for assimilation by plants, and in turn animals and humans.


Q. Has fulvic ever been synthesized?
A.   No, nor is it ever likely to be, considering the extremely complex nature of the material.
